A rare collection of objects of applied art made by the Fabergé company (and not only) is on display at the Museum of St Petersburg, which bears the same name. The museum has only been open since 2013, but its opening was anticipated by the whole world.
It features the largest collection of Fabergé Easter Eggs, many of them made by Carl Fabergé himself. This collection of Russian jewellery, arts and crafts is unparalleled. Alongside Fabergé's pieces, there are some of his contemporaries who have gained fame not only in Russia, but also beyond its borders.
