YUSUPOV PALACE: THE WEALTH, THE LUXURY, THE MURDER.

We will try to recreate the course of events and understand what role the Yusupov dynasty played in the Russian Empire, how essential their presence at court was and, most importantly, what happened on the fateful night of the murder at the Yusupov Palace.

The Yusupov family has existed for over 500 years, and during this time they have achieved great influence and wealth. The palace on the Moika river embankment became the main residence of the Yusupov family. An extensive reconstruction was carried out here specially for the young Prince Felix and his wife, Princess Irina Romanova, and was completed in 1916. The newly opened halls amazed contemporaries with their beauty and luxury.

Now you can visit the ceremonial halls, living rooms and private boudoirs of one of the most influential families of the Russian Empire.

  • What curse was related to the genus of the Yusupovs;
  • Why the palace had to be rebuilt shortly before the revolution;
  • Where were the secret rooms and what was left in them after the family left Russia.

There are several routes in the palace, you can follow them all or choose anything that interests you:
  • Ceremonial halls of the Yusupov Palace;
  • Ceremonial halls of the Yusupov Palace and Rasputin's hall;
  • Private boudoirs;
  • Former private living rooms.
