The much-awaited Brodsky Museum opened in St. Petersburg and was named "One and a Half Rooms". The centrepiece of the museum is the memorial rooms where the writer lived for almost 20 years. The museum has succeeded not only in creating a unique poetic atmosphere that conveys the essence of the writer's work, but also in exhibiting many of Brodsky's personal belongings.
J. Brodsky wrote: "Our room and a half was part of a vast enfilade, a third of a block long, stretching along the north side of a six-story building that looked out over three streets and the square at once."
You'll get a tour of the museum and engage in conversations about poetry.
