Great Russian Literature of the Golden and Silver Age in St. Petersburg

A fascinating journey into the world of Golden and Silver Age of Russian literature awaits you. You will visit locations of Pushkin, Dostoevsky, Nabokov, Akhmatova, Brodsky and many others. You will learn what inspired Russian writers and how they influenced their country's life.

Tour program details
Day 1:
Here we start our programme with a guided tour of the famous literary landmarks of St. Petersburg. We will not only see the places where Pushkin, Lermontov, Gogol, Blok, Akhmatova, Dostoevsky lived and worked, but also the places featured in their writings.

A tour of Alexander Pushkin's Museum house, where the atmosphere of that era has been maintained, as well as many of the poet's personal belongings. You will also see one of the best personal libraries and be able to find out details of the poet's life that became known after his death.
Enjoy a delicious lunch and gastronomic delights!
The day ends with a visit to the famous main bookshop, where we have a tea and share our impressions.

We end our day with a walking tour around the sites of the Crime and Punishment novel, where we mainly talk about the climax of F. Dostoevsky's career and the way his major works were created.
It is indeed a full immersion into the world and the works of Dostoevsky.
This day we will get acquainted with the life and work of F. Dostoevsky. We start with a walking tour of the places where the writer began his career, formed his personality and gained his fame.
Then we will make a tour to the museum-apartment of F. Dostoevsky. This is where the writer spent the last years of his life and where his last novel "The Brothers Karamazov" was written as well as the famous speech on Alexander Pushkin.
There will be a delicious lunch and gastronomic delights, during which we will be able to share our impressions and favourite novels of the writer.

Day 3:
A dome of the Singer House in Saint Petersburg
This will be a day to get acquainted with the Silver Age of Russian literature. We start with a walking tour to the A. Akhmatova Museum, and on the way we take a stroll up to the famous roof of the Singer House.
After a tour, we'll have some hot coffee, homemade waffles in a cosy cafe.
A. Akhmatova museum tour. We'll have a talk about the life and the works of the great poetess, take a walk in her garden, and learn about how literature was transforming at the turn of the century.
The next stop and our visit is "The Room and a Half", a new museum in St. Petersburg dedicated to the life and work of Brodsky, one of the most controversial figures in twentieth-century literature.

Day 3:
